01 — THE IDEA
Start with an activity.
A walk, an exhibition, a game of chess. On taats, you suggest an activity or join a taat nearby. The details are clear from the start.
02 — HOW IT WORKS
It all happens in the app.
A run, a coffee, an exhibition. Find a taat nearby or suggest your own.
One spot available. One tap to reserve it.
When you get there, add a detail to help identify you. Your identifying details appear when you’re both there.
03 — AT EASE
The format takes care of the rest.
Doing an activity with a person you don’t know is simple when everything else is clear. No profile to polish, no conversation to keep up, no number to give. A public place, a time and a duration known in advance.
The map shows only activities: what, where, when. No profiles to look at, no person to select.
No conversation to keep up before you go. You speak for the first time on the spot.
No name, number or account to exchange. The app gives the other person no way to contact you again.
The exact point is visible before you join. The taats rules require a public, accessible place. Not the case? Don’t join, and report it.
The duration is stated before you join: you know what you’re signing up for. And if you want to leave earlier, you leave.
Your sign stays hidden until you have both said you are there. Having doubts on arrival? You leave without having made yourself known.
taats is open to anyone aged 18 and over. Every account is tied to a number verified by SMS. A behaviour or a place that’s a problem? Report it from the app. An account can be suspended or banned, and a banned number cannot open a new one.
Let’s be clear: a verified number is not a verified identity, and no app replaces your instinct. In an emergency, call 112.
04 — A FEW DETAILS
An activity suggested by one person, with a place, a time and a duration. One other person can join. A taat always has two participants.
Good question, and we won’t tell you zero risk exists. But the format helps a lot: a public place you see before joining, a stated duration, no messages, no name or number exchanged. And you can leave whenever you want.
You leave, simple as that. Nothing obliges you to stay. You can then report the person or the place from the app: an account can be suspended or banned. In an emergency, call 112.
The person proposing the taat chooses a point on the map, in a public place. They can add a note to make the place clearer. You see it before joining.
It happens. Ten minutes after the scheduled time, you can report it and leave. Your taat for the day is given back to you.
No photo or bio. No first or last name required. Your phone number is used to sign in. Other users never see it.
